#CheckDichAus (Webseries)

We were excited to produce a series of 8 episodes/videos for the German Mercator foundation in China. Wave Films was hired to be the local producer and service provider to produce the series in China together with German cameraman Nico Bekasinski and director Franziska von Kempis under the banner of Germany’s top digital format production company UFA Lab (now UFA X).

The Project:

The Team for this production travelled to China for the Mercator Foundation together with two Youtube artists MirellativEgal and FloVloggt to Beijing and Shanghai. The team will produce a series of videos for the campaign #CheckDichAus (check yourself out) for the online campaign by the same name, which is part of the program Mercator Exchange. Mercator Exchange consolidates their international exchange programs for students, teenagers and multipliers. With Mercator Exchange the Mercator Foundation invests (among other things) in the exchange of people and ideas with China. The YouTube project is part of the online campaign to engage and interest a young audience and user base for the topic youth exchange in China and for experiencing other cultures and countries.
